In the not too distant past (3 or 4 years at most) I would have been unable to appreciate a beautiful morning like today.
Seeing a newly leaf littered lawn would amp up the thoughts and beliefs of how winter is coming and it's going to be ______ {insert all the negative} awful, terrible, sucky... You get the picture. I would have allowed my brain to hijack the beauty of the now because of the projected emotions/feelings/experiences of the future.
No more! Do I love winter? Not yet! And, it is no longer an enemy. I look for things I do love about winter and that allows me to shut down the negative projections and stay in the moment.
Now I can and do appreciate trees changing colors, the cooler air, the leaves and plants ending their growth cycle. Changing my thoughts has allowed me more space to appreciate the present moment.
I'd love to hear something you've allowed/practiced shifting!

The way we view the world and all that is around us is filtered through our beliefs and perceptions.
These beliefs act like sunglasses. When we first put them on, we notice the color change and after a while, don't recognize the shift...it's just the new normal.
Perhaps it's a belief like Life is Hard. Or, People are only out for themselves. Or...here's a common one...I'm not good enough.
What is one thing that you could practice seeing differently today and in doing so, potentially change your experiences of life?
